Traction
Did the push get traction?
Traction reads each closed bar as effort and progress. Effort is how much one side traded, against a normal bar for that hour of day and that volatility. Progress is how far price moved, on the same scale. When the two disagree, that is the thing to look at.
Grip
Grip: aggression moved price as far as it normally does, or further. Effort and progress are both high.
The tick is normal, 1.0x. The numbers are drawn as an example.
Stall
Stall: heavy aggression, little price move. The wheels spin. Effort is high and progress is low.
The tick is normal, 1.0x. The numbers are drawn as an example.
Clear
Clear: price moved on little aggression. The road is open. Effort is low and progress is high.
The tick is normal, 1.0x. The numbers are drawn as an example.
Slip
Slip: effort and progress both fell for several bars in a row.
The tick is normal, 1.0x. The numbers are drawn as an example.
